Tango Argentino: The dance of love.
Tango Argentino, since its appearance
in Buenos Aires (Argentina) and Montevideo (Uruguay) in the early
20th century, has always been a partner dance. While the
most important ingredient of partner ships has obviously remained the same (love is timeless), some elements of it have
seen, as it is the case for many aspects of our society, transformations over the years. Our view of partner ship (and of dancing Tango) is to share, to listen, to give confidence, to help and balance each
other, and to interchange activities that
may have been well separated by genders a century ago.
So, time is passing, the universe is
expanding, the world changes and we are changing too (but without
forgetting our roots).
Therefore, we are proposing genuine Tango Argentino (as it is practiced at the traditional milongas in Buenos Aires and Montevideo), but from a
contemporary perspective, emphasizing on the embrace, the feelings,
creativity and on interchanging roles.
Interchanging
roles, such that both members in a couple can experience following
and leading at the magic beat of tango music!

El tango argentino, desde su aparicion
en Buenos Aires (Argentina) y Montevideo (Uruguay) en el inicio del
Siglo 20, siempre fue un baile de pareja. Si bien el sentido mas
importante de "la pareja", el amor, no ha cambiado (el amor
no tiene tiempo), a través del tiempo algunos aspectos han ido
transformadose. Hoy nos encontramos con que significa compartir,
escuchar, apoyar, ayudar de una manera quizas mas equilibrada,
intercambiando actividades que tal vez hace un siglo atras eran separadas
segun los generos.
El tiempo pasa, el universo se expande, el mundo cambia y nosotros también (por supuesto sin olvidar nuestras raices).
Por eso proponemos un baile popular, abrazando, sintiendo y cambiando.
Intercambiando roles, para que los dos en la pareja lleven y sean llevados al magico ritmo del tango!
